Ruzalia Bond
Piano & Violin Instructor
Originally trained at the prestigious Ufa School of Fine Arts in Russia, she studied violin performance with piano as her secondary instrument, performing for five years in the school’s orchestra and local competitions. Her classical training built the foundation for a lifetime love of music that she now shares with her students.
Since joining DSFA in 2021, Ms. Ruzalia has taught more than 60 students of all ages in violin and piano, creating a welcoming and encouraging space for beginners and advanced musicians alike. She also directs our community string orchestra, giving young musicians the exciting chance to perform together and share their talents across the Coast. In 2024, she was honored as DSFA’s Teacher of the Year for her dedication and excellence in music education.
Zackery Perkins
Guitar Instructor
Zackery Perkins is a Mississippi Gulf Coast native musician, performing every weekend between New Orleans and Pensacola with soft serenade solo performances as well as with his band Sweetie, as lead guitarist and vocalist performing fast paced rock, blues and R&B dance music! He has 20+ years experience unraveling the inner workings of theory, technique, and improvisation for guitar and vocals. He has an Associate of Arts that helps him understand the history and styles of musicians from Beethoven to Brittney Spears. Zackery won the coveted 228 Award for Best Vocalist of 2021 and was nominated as Best Musician for The Covey's in 2022. His teaching styles are tailor made for each individual students and uses tools to have students ready for auditions, recitals, and even paid performances at all your favorite local venues.
